    • Having trouble with your appraisals? Writing down or drawing your thoughts and feelings can often have a positive effect on dealing with unhelpful appraisals. It helps you:

      • Become aware of the link between your thoughts and your emotions;

      • Detach from a thought, so you can refocus on other tasks for the day or put your mind to rest for the night;

      • Tackle an unhelpful appraisal by thinking of an alternative thought that could be more helpful in the situation.
